Commissioned to take a bungalow home through each phase of the design process in order to create an addition. All while, working to fit with the historic Richardsonian Romanesque design style, there will be a variety of stone materials on the exterior and plenty of interior wood elements. The home will also be required to fit the needs of the client’s aging parent. The home is located in Anderson, South Carolina and the spaced that will be redesigned include a larger kitchen, public entertainment space, a parent bedroom and bathroom suite, etc.

CONTAINER HOME

HK Design Group has been commissioned to design a container home for a family that was displaced by Hurricane Matthew in Centre, Haiti. The family consists of a mother, her two sons, and her daughter’s baby. Spaces to be designed include a kitchen and dining space, living room, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a rooftop patio and garden. The intent of this design is to provide the Jean-Baptiste family with a bright and airy space that encapsulates the feeling of new beginnings and rejuvenation.
